Problem: "Cannot connect to server" error message

Solution:

• Check that you're connected to the internet
• The extension automatically tries bigquerysaver.com first
• If using your own server, make sure it's running
• Check browser console (F12) for detailed error messages
• Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)

Problem: Can't log in or permission errors

Solution:

• Make sure you're logged into Google Cloud Console
• Verify you have BigQuery access in your GCP project
• Required roles: BigQuery Data Viewer + BigQuery Job User
• Try logging out and back in
• Clear browser cache and cookies for console.cloud.google.com

Problem: No cost predictions or incorrect estimates

Solution:

• Make sure you have a valid SQL query in the BigQuery editor
• Check that the query is syntactically correct
• Verify you have permissions to run queries in the project
• For custom server: Ensure ML model is deployed correctly
• Large queries may take a few seconds to analyze

Problem: Floating widget doesn't show up in BigQuery Console

Solution:

• Refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
• Make sure you're on a BigQuery page: console.cloud.google.com/bigquery
• Check that the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions/
• Try disabling and re-enabling the extension
• Check browser console (F12) for JavaScript errors

Problem: Can't see billing breakdown or cost analysis

Solution:

• Verify you've configured the billing export table
• Check that you have access to the billing project
• Ensure billing export is enabled in your GCP project
• Billing data can have up to 24 hours delay
• Follow the setup guide to configure billing tables correctly
